The Power Of Words

Placid I sat

as the storms passed by.
Imperturbable;
as the storms died away.
Tranquil I was
while the sun declared its ruling.
Unruffled I lay
while the moon gracefully made its coming.
The stars twinkled,
sweet diamonds in the old sky.
Billowy air all around,
looks at me, to sigh...
all silent, as the sesons pass by.

But only till I discovered words...
words that enlightened my gloomy soul.
The obscure darkness waned out of my mind,
O dear words, so sweet and so kind.
I found myself singing
with the mellifluous songs of the birds.
The power that made me sing
was the power of the words.

Music

I hear the sweet sol-fa
in the moonlit solarium,
And the notes of the violin
add to the joyful silence.
The hexameter I soliloquize
makes my mind solemnize,
As it enjoys the rhythm
of the bliss obtained seldom.

Time I know has ceased,
Has immersed in this lovely peace.
It seems to seek what I seek-
The core of music!
It seems to be lost with me
in the depths of music!
